In 2022, VietinBank continues to be in the list of 2000 largest enterprises in the world voted by the prestigious American magazine - Forbes. Up to now, VietinBank is the only Vietnamese enterprise to appear in this prestigious ranking for 11 consecutive years.

Forbes Global 2000 in 2022 has just been voted and announced by Forbes on the basis of a collection of the world's largest and most powerful public companies. Accordingly, Forbes Global 2000 is based on 4 basic criteria including: Revenue, profit, assets and market value to determine the size of enterprises. According to these criteria, VietinBank is in the Forbes Global 2000 in 2022 with the rank of 1,560. Specifically, VietinBank's revenue reached 4.41 billion USD, profit reached 612.4 million USD, assets reached 67.2 billion USD and the market value reached 6.15 billion USD. This is the 11th consecutive year, VietinBank has appeared in the Forbes Global 2000 Ranking.

By the end of 2021, VietinBank has achieved positive business results, completing all the targets assigned by the General Meeting of Shareholders in 2021. This result is thanks to VietinBank's strong transformation of its model. growth, rapid transformation of income structure, structure of outstanding loans and capital structure, implementation of customer-centric strategy, development of modern financial banking solutions, improvement of consulting capacity, service quality, meeting the maximum financial needs of customers. Accordingly, credit balance increased and mobilized capital increased by 11.1% and 17.3% respectively compared to the end of 2020. Total operating income increased by 17.2% compared to 2020. Non-interest income continued to grow, in which, net service revenue increased by 13.7% compared to 2020. VietinBank also completed the increase of charter capital from VND 37,234 billion to VND 48,058 billion and became the bank with the second largest charter capital in the Banking Industry. Besides, VietinBank continues to perform well its responsibilities to the community and society when spending resources to support social security work with a total amount of more than 500 billion VND; including 166 billion VND to support the prevention and control of COVID-19 across the country.
